Welcome to Sylvia Castellanos' Art  Gallery

Throughout her life, people have been her preferred subject matter. Much of her work has been  commissioned portraiture. In other paintings, her subjects have been people who  caught her eye,  while still others reflect colorful or exotic settings.

Although most of her work is in oil, at different times she has also worked in pencil, pastel and charcoal.

Ms. Castellanos has painted members of Congress, and Congressional, White House and international organization personnel. She has created a sixty-two work collection of portraits of the Mayas of today which has been exhibited at a U.S. Ambassador's official residence  and at the Washington, D.C. headquarters of the Organization of American States.

In the menu on your left,  her work is divided into categories according to subject matter and to medium.  Although the categories should be self-explanatory, if in doubt--we encourage you to go exploring.

Many of the works on exhibit in this gallery are for sale. If there is a picture you're interested in buying, please feel free to inquire about availability and price.

If you are interested in commissioning her to do a portrait, please ask for details.

No gallery, tangible or virtual, can be absorbed in one visit. We encourage you to come back often and see a bit more each time. When you do, check for new material and information, as both are added frequently.
